Coach George San Mateo began training Martial Arts training at the age of 8 in Hawthorne, CA beginning with TaeKwonDo. After receiving his third-degree black belt in TaeKwonDo he decided to focus on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with Team CheckMat and currently trains under Leandro Vieira and Luiz Pedro Ribeiro. George is most passionate about sharing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with everyone and believes it’s essential for all families, including all kids, teens, and adults.
